Procedure text is a type of text in English that contains goals and steps to make or do something related to that goal. The function of this text is to show how to do something through successive steps so that the reader can reach his goal.
Text Procedure Features
The following are the features of Procedure text:
- Using Simple Present Tense .
- Using the imperative sentence which is a form of sentence that is usually used to give orders. For example, don't mix, turn on, cut into slices and so on.
- Using the connective of sequence (then, while, next, and so on).
- Using numbering (first, second, third, etc.).
- Using action verbs. For example, turn, plug, put, etc.
- Using adverbs . For example: slowly, carefully, and so on.
Generic Structure of Procedure Text
Procedure text has a generic structure that is different from other types of text, namely:
1. Aim/goal
It is located in the title of the text and is used to indicate the purpose of the text. Example: How to Make Noodle
2. Ingredients/materials
Contains materials or tools needed in the steps to carry out the process. Example: The materials to make an omelet are egg, onion, vegetable oil, salt, and pepper.
3. Steps/methods
Contains the method, or steps taken to achieve the objectives in the text. Example: First, wash the tomatoes. Then cut it into slices.
Example of Procedure Text
How to Make Fluffy Pancake
Ingredients:
5 eggs
40 gram sugar
60 gram purpose flour
2 gram baking powder
Salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Honey
Instructions:
1. First, separate the egg yolk and the white. Then beat the egg white until stiff.
2. In a separated bowl, mix the egg yolks with sugar until the sugar melts.
3. Next, add the flour, baking powder, and salt. Then stir until all the ingredients mixed.
4. Slowly pour all the mixture ingredients into one bowl. Then add vanilla extract and mix it.
5. Then heat a pan over a low-medium heat and coat it with butter. Use a 1/4 cup measure to scoop and drop the batter into the pan so that you get evenly-sized pancakes.
6. Cook until the first side is golden brown, or until the top surface forms bubbles.
7. Flip and repeat on the other side. Adjust heat accordingly.
8. Finally, serve the pancake while it is still warm with honey. You can add some fruits like grapes or strawberry to make it more delicious.

How To Use Google text-to-speech?
Before anything else, you will need to prepare the followings to be able to utilize the Google text-to-speech in your Android.
1. Android
2. Internet connection
Steps :
First, Go to the Language and input panel and tap on Text-to-speech options.
Second, click on your Preferred Text to Speech engine.
Third, on the same window, customize the Speech rate, Default language status and if you want you can listen to an example.
Next, open Google app in your android and tap on the Google text-to-speech icon.
Finally, you can search anything by only saying aloud to your android gadget.

How to Make a Cup Milo
Ingredients:
Powdered Milo
Hot Water
Sweetened Condensed Milk
Fresh Milk / Pasteurized Milk
Instructions:
First, put in about 4 tablespoons of Powdered Milo into a cup.
Second, add Hot Water until it reaches about 3/4 of the cup.
Third, stir and make sure all of the Powdered Milo is dissolved.
Next, add in 3 tablespoons of Sweetened Condensed Milk and stir.
Then, add in some Fresh Milk / Pasteurized Milk. Its amount should be around 1/10 of the cup.
Finally, Add a little more Hot Water until nearly full and stir once more.
