Baird studied at the Technical College Royal and the University of Glasgow.  Poor health, made him decide not to participate in World War I and chose his position as an electrical engineer.  Due to his exhaustion causing nervous breakdowns, Baird chose to concentrate on electronics, especially after radio demonstrations that Guglielmo Marconi's findings could be used to carry audio signals.  Baird was convinced that the same process could transmit visual signals, and he got to work and did it on a design.

John Logie Baird was living in poverty in 1923. John Logie Baird began trying to tinker with a machine to transmit images, as well as sound, by radio.  With persistence and passion and hard work eventually John Logie Baird managed to send a grainy image over the wireless transmitter to a receiver a few meters away.

In 1925 In January he introduced television in public at the Royal Institute in London, This was the earliest television demonstration.  In 1929. 8BC made its first television broadcast, using Baird's equipment.  But at that time he had not taken advantage of the use of the cathode-ray tube, which is the basis of modern television.  So that his system could not compete with the new system in 1933.
